Big fat bluegills

Went fishing on Lake Monona between the terrace and Monona Bay. I caught bluegill, green sunfish, rock bass, smallmouth bass, and largemouth bass. I kept the 3 largest bluegill and filleted them up at home. The largest was 8 inches and the other two were 7 1/2. They made for a good dinner. :)

Nice bluegills! Were you in that little spot they call "The Triangle", just east of Monona Bay? That's a good spot to ice fish.

Thanks guys! Good to hear from you Michael.

Jeff, that video has some serious entertainment value! If I had a live webcam down there I wouldn't get any work done, haha. I was fishing the shore between the intersection of John Nolan and North Shore and Monona Terrace. My fishing spots are all 1-dimensional, so unfortunately I can't comprehend 2-dimensional geomtries such as triangles. :(

Beautiful fish ... but wish they were still in the water and not your sink! ;-)
