Pics from 9/27

Chuck, catcher of 8 inch bluegill... as well as every other fish in the entire river.

Ben, who tried to display his 7 3/4 inch pumpkinseed but it kept flopping around. Dangit!

Cleaning up the catch, I think the white bass fillets are already in the bowl.

Hi Mizlan. The American way of cooking fish isn't the most healthy, but it tastes really good!

1. fillet the fish, remove bones
2. mix up an egg in a bowl
3. dip the fillets in the egg
4. add bread crumbs or fish fry batter to a big bowl
5. put the fillets in the bowl and shake it around till they're completely covered
6. fry them in butter, use enough butter so the fillets are half-way submerged
7. when one side is golden brown, flip them over, when the second side is golden brown, you're done!

A few extra points...

For some fish that have a wild taste to them, it can be good to soak the fillets in lemon juice for a few minutes before you move on to the egg and bread crumbs. You'll notice the difference in taste.

I also like to add pepper and spices to the bread crumbs and mix it all together. Spicy fish is better than regular fish. :)
